For the first time on such scale in the Midwest, theaters all over Chicago, the suburbs and in Milwaukee will dim their marquee lights prior to showtime.
The gesture is to acknowledge the numerous recent deaths in the theater community, including the actors Bernie Yvon and Molly Glynn and the WGN radio personality Roy Leonard. Illuminated signs and marquees will go dark at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
