WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama will travel to Chicago on Wednesday and depart the city on Thursday, a White House official said today.
The president’s visit will include a campaign event for Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, the White House official said.
Quinn is being challenged by Republican Bruce Rauner in the Nov. 4 election.
More details about the overnight trip “will be made available in the coming days,” according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
