A 24-year-old man was charged with retail theft at a store at 1555 N. Rand Road on Oct. 7. He is accused of walking out without paying for gum and also switching the price tag on a Bluetooth headset valued at $69.74 with another item that cost $1.27.

A 61-year-old Rolling Meadows woman was arrested on Oct. 11 at a store at 1555 N. Rand Road after she was seen putting three bras, girls clothing, four cosmetic items and three other items into her purse without paying. The items were valued at $94.25.

A 47-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence on Oct. 12 in the 100 block of West Northwest Highway. Other charges include driving with a blood-alcohol content level over 0.08, driving without insurance, improper turn and driving on a revoked license.

Five power tools were taken from a 2001 Chevrolet vehicle that was burglarized through a side door on Oct. 11 or Oct. 12 in the 1500 block of North Winslow Drive.
