The first teaser for Netflix’s “Marco Polo” doesn’t have any Speedo- or bikini-clad swimmers calling out the explorer’s name, but it does offer plenty of martial arts, sword fighting and sex.

The upcoming original series stars Italian newcomer Lorenzo Richelmy as the title character and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu as his love interest. It’s based on the 13th century explorer’s time in Kublai Khan’s court in China—a world Netflix says is “replete with greed, betrayal, sexual intrigue and rivalry.”

Yep, that seems to be the checklist used for adding scenes to the teaser—not that anyone is complaining. It shows off the epic, sweeping nature of the series, which was filmed in Italy, Kazakhstan and Malaysia with an international cast that includes Benedict Wong and Joan Chen.

All 10 episodes of the first season will be available at 2:01 a.m. Dec. 12 on Netflix.

Looks like another binge date with Netflix.
