The following items were taken from Niles police reports:
A purse with $120 in cash and a smart phone inside was stolen from a vehicle in a cemetery on the 8600 block of Milwaukee Avenue Oct. 25 as the victim was paying her respects to her deceased son’s grave.
A Milwaukee man was charged with driving on a suspended license on the 7400 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Oct. 25 after being pulled over randomly at a roadside safety checkpoint.
Three Chicago women and three Chicago men were each charged with driving without a valid driver’s license on Oct. 24 on the 7200 block of Milwaukee Avenue after being pulled over randomly at a roadside safety checkpoint.
A Glenview man was charged with excessive speeding Oct. 26 on the 6100 block of Howard Street after being pulled over for driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone.
A Chicago man was charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license Oct. 25 near the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Grennan Place.
