Here’s an opportunity to give yourself or the craft beer drinker in your life the gift that keeps on giving throughout the whole month of December: The 12 Craft Beers of Christmas menu at Franklin Tap (325 S. Franklin St., 312-212-3262).
From Dec. 1-31, drink from the menu that includes a dozen seasonal brews from respected craft breweries. Request a punch card from your bartender and if you get all 12 beers by New Year’s Eve, then you’ll receive a keepsake pint glass to mark the achievement.
The beers:
Revolution Brewing: Fistmas Ale ($6, 16 oz.)
Great Lakes Brewing: Christmas Ale ($6, 16 oz.)
Southern Tier Brewing: 2XMas ($6, 16 oz.)
Two Brothers Brewing: Peppermint Bark ($6, 16 oz.)
Affligem: Noel ($10, 12 oz.)
The Bruery: 7 Swans a Swimming ($9, 12 oz.)
Goose Island: Festivity ($6, 16 oz.)

Not up for drinking all month long? The Boundary (1932 W. Division St., 773-278-1919) will be serving flights of holiday-inspired ales on Dec. 2. The 12-beer flight ($25) includes 4-oz. pours of Sam Adams’ Merry Maker, Shiner’s Holiday Cheer, Bell’s Christmas Ale, Great Lakes’ Christmas Ale, Anderson Valley’s Winter Solstice Ale, and Lagunitas’ Brown Shugga Ale. The flights are available all day for as long as supplies last.
