East Aurora School District will host a Dec. 3 discussion on school finances, the second such public meeting in recent weeks.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Cowherd Middle School library, 441 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora.
Michael Popp, the district’s superintendent, and Christi Tyler, the district’s assistant superintendent for finance, will lead a presentation on topics such as school funding sources, budgeting and the district’s tax levy and rate.
Attendees will be able to participate in a question-and-answer session after the presentation.
The meeting is free and open to the public and will be conducted in both English and Spanish.
The district held a similar meeting at the end of September as part of an effort to inform the public about the district’s budgeting process. The district also is working to start an advisory committee made up of citizens interested in the district’s finances.
