A fire that damaged a house at 111 Wabash St. appears to be accidental, although the cause is still undetermined, according to Robert Scott, EMS director for the Hobart Fire Department.
“We’re still looking into some things,” Scott said Wednesday.
The fire started at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, engulfing the home and collapsing the roof.
No injuries were reported, but Scott said the family dog, a Chihuahua, is still missing.
“Hopefully he ran out. There’s always hope,” Scott said.
