
Beth Kurensky, who grew up in Winnetka and is now raising her family in her hometown, took time to chat with the Winnetka Talk for this week’s Shout Out.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: Yes, a dog named Wiley.
Q: What was your first job?
A: In real estate, property management.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to go into business or teach.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.”
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini.
Q: Do you play an instrument?
A: As a kid, I played piano.
Q: Do you have a favorite charity?
A: Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
Q: What is an interesting fact about yourself?
A: My children’s graduation pictures at Carleton Washburne School are directly across the hall from mine.
Q: Cubs or White Sox?
A: Cubs.
Q: What is your favorite thing about spring?
A: Everything blossoms and it’s hopeful. It’s a new beginning.
