The following items were taken from Wheaton police reports:
Liron Liberty, 32, of the 600 block of Marilyn Avenue in Glendale Heights, was charged with possession of cannabis, speeding and driving without a driver’s license. Liberty was stopped April 21 near the intersection of Butterfield and East Loop roads.
A violin worth approximately $4,500 was reportedly stolen March 20 from a locked car in a parking lot on the Wheaton College campus at 607 N. Howard St.
A bottle of wine, a mobile phone charger and some plain white T-shirts were stolen April 20 from a locked vehicle parked in a public parking lot at 220 S. Cross St.
Several Wheaton residents reported their Social Security numbers were used to file fraudulent tax returns. Incidents were reported March 23, April 13 and April 15.
A resident reported an unknown individual scammed her out of a diamond engagement ring valued at approximately $13,500. The resident was using E-bay to sell the ring. She shipped it to the buyer, but money was never transferred to her account.
A resident reported someone attempted to open a line of credit in his name without consent sometime before April 20.
A resident reported someone removed the trailer hitch from the back of his truck while it was parked in a parking lot at 418 County Farm Road on April 16.
A resident reported an unknown individual opened a line of credit in his name and amassed a debt of $640, sometime before April 20.
Mitchell J. Moore, 19, of the 1500 block of East Pershing Avenue, was charged March 20 with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and making an improper turn near the intersection of Danada Square and Naperville Road.
Lee A. Leonard, 28, of the 1500 block of Lowden Avenue, was charged April 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and hit and run in the 1600 block of Briarcliffe Boulevard.
Michael A. Solberg, 18, of the 90 block of Hawkins Circle, was charged April 18 with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Timothy S. Johnson, 36, of the 1600 block of Castbourne Court, was charged April 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was stopped near the intersection of Groton Court and Prospect Street.
A resident reported someone fraudulently used his credit card to charge $510.43 worth of merchandise at a store in Florida on March 16.
