Naperville police responded to a report of a motorist in a black 2008 Dodge Dakota who exited his vehicle and was brandishing a knife on Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive.
The alleged motorist, identified as Jonathon R. Burson, 30, of Oswego, was stopped by police around 1:45 p.m. near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and Diehl Road. A small kitchen knife was recovered in Burson’s vehicle, according to police.
According to reports, Burson was allegedly involved in a “driving altercation” with another motorist, a 52-year-old Hanover Park man. Following the altercation, Burson allegedly left his vehicle holding a knife in his hand while yelling at the other driver.
The driver, who reported being “alarmed and disturbed” by Burson’s actions, did not get out of his vehicle during the incident, but instead called police.
Burson was charged with disorderly conduct and released on bond.
