The parents of a Homer Glen eighth grader said their daughter’s school took political correctness too far when it refused to let the girl and four friends decorate classmates’ lockers for Easter. Talia Roti, 13, said each girl spent at least a day turning sheets of colorful foam into 1,000 Easter eggs and bunnies — enough to adorn every locker at Homer Jr. High School. But when her friends arrived at school to put up their creations the Monday before spring break, school officials told them the eggs and bunnies weren’t welcome.
