SAN DIEGO — July will be a busy month for the Chicago Cubs despite their four-day All-Star break.

The Cubs’ April 25 game at Cincinnati that was postponed because of rain has been rescheduled for July 22 as part of a day-night doubleheader at Great American Ball Park.

The regularly scheduled game between the Cubs and Reds will start at 11:35 a.m. (CDT), followed by the makeup game at 5:10 p.m.

This marks the second doubleheader in July for the Cubs, who will play a split doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals on July 7 at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs are scheduled to play 24 games in 24 days, starting with their July 17 game at Atlanta to start the second half. Their only scheduled day off during that stretch is July 23 — following the doubleheader at Cincinnati.
