Another new year is unfolding, bringing with it unlimited potential. Purchasing a first home or a new home is among new years resolutions for many people. West Point Builders can help to make this goal a reality at West Point Gardens, its award-winning new home community in the popular Randall Road corridor in Elgin.

West Point Gardens offers a variety of single-family homes in four series and a wide range of prices. Base prices range from $174,990 to $329,990. Featuring a “Traditional Neighborhood Design” plan, some of West Point Gardens’ distinguishing characteristics are homes with large front porches and garages in the rear, open green spaces and an inviting community park. Attention to nostalgic details creates an exceptional environment like that of small-town Americana.

“As the new year begins, West Point Gardens has become a well-established neighborhood, and visitors can get a great visual impression of what makes the community so attractive,” says Pat Curran, developer and president of the well-respected family-owned business. “Another distinction at West Point Gardens is that, like small towns of the past, several housing styles and prices give buyers more choices than in the typical new home community.

“For example, first-time buyers can find Park Series homes that are not only affordable but also offer the privacy of a single-family home along with the maintenance-free convenience of a townhome. Our innovative Park Series has attracted international attention for its combination of features that make these homes exactly what many first-time and other buyers are looking for. With prices starting at just $174,990 and mortgage payments of $825 a month (initial principle and interest), first-time buyers can own a home for prices that are less than area rents.”

The Park Series features four designs that have covered front porches and garages in the rear. Two other series of homes also feature the traditional architecture that have made West Point Gardens a much-honored community in the housing industry as well as with homebuyers. Four two-story plans are offered, and the homes have two to three bedrooms, 1.5 to 2.5 baths, 9-foot first-floor ceilings, covered porches, full basements and two-car garages attached in the rear. Some plans have flexible second floors and available lofts.

The Heritage Series, with prices ranging from $249,990 to $284,990, includes two-story plans as well as a home with a first-floor master suite. Five home designs have three or four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, partial basements and two-car attached garages.

The Kingston Series, with homes priced from $281,990 to $329,990, offers even larger, more luxurious plans. These homes have big covered front porches, garages in the rear and private garden areas. Six floor plans boast three to five bedrooms, 2.5 baths, large front porches, partial basements and two-car garages attached in the rear with private garden areas.

In addition, the Classic Series homes, priced from $239,990 to $294,990, are ideal for families that may want large back yards and garages in the front. A ranch plan is included in this series, priced from $259,990, and water view sites are now available. In addition to the ranch, six two-story designs offer three or four bedrooms, two baths in the ranch plan and 2.5 baths in the two-story homes, partial basements and two-car attached garages.

“We have model homes available in the Park and Heritage Series, so visitors to the community can spend an afternoon and see a variety of homes,” Curran says.

The Princeton with its first-floor master suite includes an elevator, double porch across the front of the home and views of Meier Park, and is priced from $360,000. The home also features a brick front, three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, loft, partial basement and two-car garage attached in the rear.
