Four people have been wounded in shootings in Chicago since midmorning Tuesday, according to police.
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder about 8:20 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Erie in West Garfield Park. He walked into West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.
A 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg around 6 p.m. in the 3000 block of West 37th Place in the city’s Brighton Park neigborhood. The teen, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.
A 19-year-old man was shot in his right side in the Arcadia Terrace neighborhood on the North Side about 1:35 p.m.
He was in the 5800 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when someone stepped out of a older blue Chevy Caprice and shot him, police said. The 19-year-old was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and his condition had been stabilized.
Earlier, 20-year-old man was found shot in an alley in the Gresham neighborhood.
About 9:20 a.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of South Winchester Avenue and found the man with multiple gunshot wounds, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
No one is in custody.
