When Chicago cook Kristin Barone brushed her shoulders off, it wasn’t just to shake negative energy.

Barone, a former line cook with Longman and Eagle in Logan Square, got into an argument with New Jersey chef Jackie Fuchs in Wednesday’s episode of “Hell’s Kitchen.” Fuchs taunted Barone about how she’s gotten as far as Barone in the competition with less experience.

The two contestants got in each other’s faces and Fuchs poured cigarette ash on Barone.

“Put your hands on me,” Fuchs told Barone as the teammates traded curse words.

Eventually, the two separated and moved on to the challenge, which was to serve brunch to diners. Both Barone’s red team and the opposing blue team had problems with executing the dishes.

Barone’s teammate Chad Gelso was sent home for his lack of confidence.

“Guys, today was a joke. I am longing for success,” show host Gordon Ramsay told the cooks.

Eight chefs remain on “Hell’s Kitchen,” which airs 8 p.m. Wednesdays on Fox. The 15th season winner is slated to work as head chef at BLT Steak in Las Vegas.
