A three-car collision in the Back of the Yards neighborhood sent eight people to area hospitals Sunday evening, officials said.
Three cars collided about 6:30 p.m. at 51st Street and Ashland Avenue, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman said.
Two people were taken to the University of Illinois at Chicago medical center in fair-to-serious condition; four were taken to St. Bernard Hospital, two in good-to-fair condition and two in fair-to-serious condition; and two people were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good to fair condition, according to a Fire Department spokesman.
The victims’ ages ranged from 6 to 44 years old, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago police spokesman. No information on citations was immediately available from police.
