A: Seasonal

Q: What do you like about your job?

A: I like the people that work here. I like a lot of the customers. It’s fun. It’s interesting. It’s a learning process.

Q: What’s the least favorite part of your job?

A: It can be dead when there are no customers?

Q: What’s the most unusual question you are asked?

A: When someone comes in with a (damaged) leaf from a tree and asks ‘What is doing this to my plant?'”

Q: Are you ever stumped by a customer’s question?

A: There’s usually someone with more knowledge who can answer it.

Q: Have you always worked in hardware?

A: I’ve been in retail for most of the past 30 years. Before this, I worked at Scott’s Pet Shop in Westchester.

Q: Is there a difference between pets and hardware?

A: Not really. It’s all retail.

Q: Are you married?

A: I’m single.

Q: What’s your favorite TV show?

A: Grimm. I just like the monsters and the way they interact with people.

Q: What’s your favorite color?

A: Green

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I ride my bike. I used to keep a lot of fish tanks, but I don’t have room for them anymore.
