A man was fatally shot and at least seven other people have been wounded in separate shootings between Sunday and Monday morning in Chicago.

A 33-year-old man was shot to death around 10:15 p.m. in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side, police said.

The man was outside in the 11500 block of South Perry Avenue when two unknown male attacker walked up to him, fired shots and ran away, police said.

The man, identified as Demetrius A. Warren of the 8400 block of South Colfax Avenue, was hit in the back and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and he was later pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was immediately in custody.

Most recently, at around 10:40 p.m., a 19-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood on the Far South Side, according to police.

The man told police he was sitting outside in the 13200 block of South Corliss Avenue when an unknown male attacker walked up to him and shot him once in both of legs. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition stabilized.

About 10:15 p.m., a 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side, police said.

The man was inside a building in the 2400 block of East 78th Street when he was shot in the abdomen. Witnesses told police a white Chevrolet Cavalier drove by and someone inside fired shots, hitting the man.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

About 9:45 p.m., a 21-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were wounded in a shooting in the Washington Park neighborhood, police said.

The two men were inside a gray Toyota Camry traveling north in the 5500 block of South Indiana Avenue when they stopped at a red light. At that point, a gunman in white clothing approached the Toyota and fired shots, according to police.

The 21-year-old was hit in the left arm and chest. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.

Around 7:40 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman.

The boy was in the 4300 block of South Michigan Avenue when he was shot in the back. Additional information, including his condition, was not immediately available.

About 3:20 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in the first block of North Albany Avenue, Tannehill said.

He was on foot when two unknown attackers got out of a light-colored car and began firing shots at him, hitting him in the arm, chest and leg. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Tannehill said.

About an hour earlier in the city’s Chicago Lawn neighborhood, an 18-year-old man was shot about 2:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of South California Avenue.

The man was at a Southwest Side bus stop when someone in the back seat of a red car that pulled up to him began firing, Tannehill said.

He was shot in the right knee and was in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Tannehill said.

Both men shot are documented gang members, according to Tannehill.
