Former Nazareth Academy coaches Doug Hunt and Wayne Saunders were scheduled to be inducted into the East Suburban Catholic Conference Coaches Hall of Fame on April 6.

Hunt, who coached boys soccer at Nazareth from 2006-2016, won three regional titles with the Roadrunners. Before Nazareth, Hunt coached soccer for more than 30 years at Oak Park-River Forest, where he is a member of the school’s coaching hall of fame.

Saunders won seven regional titles as Nazareth’s girls volleyball coach from 2005-2015. He also coached track and cross country at the school, where he coached for 22 years in total. Saunders was inducted into the Nazareth athletic hall of fame in January.
