Centennial Beach opens: Centennial Beach opens for the summer season with an open swim from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at 500 W. Jackson Ave.
Centennial Beach offers 6.2 million gallons of water in which to swim and dive and includes picnic tables, a sand play area, sand volleyball, a waterslide and diving boards.

Memorial Day parade and ceremony: The Naperville Memorial Day Parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 29, from Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Ave.,
The parade route heads down Jackson Avenue, north up Washington Street to Benton Avenue and into Central Park.
After the parade, a Memorial Day observance will take place at 12:15 p.m. at the Naperville Community Concert Center in Central Park, 104 E. Benton Ave. The Naperville Municipal Band will perform.
The guest speaker will be Ryan Park, winner of the 2017 American Legion Oratorical Contest.
