Police released surveillance photos Wednesday of a man suspected of killing another man in a dispute at the 95 th Street CTA Red Line terminal earlier this month.

Corvel Brown, 22, was fatally stabbed in the attack about 12:35 p.m. July 9 at the station, 14 W. 95 th St., according to authorities. He lived just three blocks west of the station on the same street.

Brown got into a verbal dispute with someone and was stabbed in the stomach “right in front of” a turnstile at the station, police said in a media notification. The attacker “made good his escape” after the stabbing, police said.

Brown was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was initially in serious condition and later pronounced dead, police said.

The photos released Wednesday show a young man walking or standing near CTA fare machines at the 95 th Street station. The attacker is described as a black man,s tanding 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, weighing 140 to 155 pounds, with a medium complexion and short dreadlocks. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black t-shirt and black and white shorts, according to police. The photos him wearing grey gym shoes with dark laces and short white socks, and show the shorts appear to have one large black stripe at the top, a large white stripe under that, then smaller black, white and black stripes.
