Thursday will be our eighth consecutive day of above normal temperatures and this string of seasonably mild readings looks to continue through the coming weekend into the first part of next week.

Temperatures are expected to peak at around the 60-degree mark Sunday and Monday. Rain Monday in advance of an approaching cold front will mark the end of the warm streak.

With the frontal passage, readings will fall Tuesday. By next Wednesday the Arctic Express will be in charge with a Greenland blocking pattern aloft establishing a deep low pressure over eastern Canada, which will in turn set up north to northwesterly flow of cold air straight from the Arctic into the Midwest and Great Lakes.
