Chicago police on Wednesday released a surveillance photo of two men or teenage boys who robbed people at gunpoint in the South Loop and Bronzeville neighborhood early Tuesday.

In the robberies, one of the attackers showed a silver and black semi-automatic handgun and the other man went through the victims’ pockets and took property, according to a police alert. Both men hit their victims.

After the robberies, the men ordered the victims to run away, then drove off in a silver, four-door hatchback, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta or a similar car.

The robberies took place about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of South Clark Street, where a 33-year-old man was attacked, and about 12:25 a.m. in the 2900 block of South Michigan Avenue, where a 43-year-old man was attacked.

The attacker with the gun was described as a male black with a medium complexion, 17 to 25 years old, 5 feet to 5-foot-4, about 150 pounds and with short hair. The other attacker was described as a black male, 17 to 25 years old with a medium complexion, 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds, and with dreadlocks. He was wearing a white and black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
