A woman was carjacked at gunpoint early Thursday in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side, according to Chicago police.
The carjacker, wearing a mask and red hoodie, knocked on the driver’s side window and told her to get out of the car at about 1:50 a.m. in the 100 block of North LaCrosse Avenue, according to Officer Laura Amezaga, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
The woman got out and the carjacker drove off in her silver four-door Toyota sedan, Amezaga said.
No one had been arrested.
