NFL players shouldn’t complain
I noticed NFL players disrespecting the National Anthem don’t complain about all the money they make with pictures of old white presidents on the bills, some of whom are past slave owners. Perhaps they should change places with those fighting terrorist enemies in the Arab world. The draft is needed but not for football.
Proper use of garages
Wouldn’t it be nice if people used their garages for things like cars, bikes, lawn equipment and waste containers, instead of mountains of junk? Why do people buy and hoard more than their places of living can handle. It sure would take a lot of cars off the street and make it safer for moving vehicles if garages were used properly.
Waiting for discount
This is in regards to East Dundee and the senior discount on our garbage pickup. We were supposed to get a break in April. What is Dundee waiting for? Why, as seniors, are we are not getting a discount? We are still paying double. Where did all that money go? Are we getting a rebate on how long it took them to get it to us? I don’t know. Dundee is the worst place to live.
No free ride
I agree with that woman or guy completely about not feeding the kids’ breakfast (at school). There should be no feeding of kids at school at all. Send an apple to school with them. They should have breakfast, nice and warm, at home. They should have a brown bag lunch at school and a warm dinner at home. No more using taxpayer money to feed kids. Can’t afford them? Don’t have kids.
Trump’s long list of lies
For the person who called in and wanted specific lies that Donald Trump said, have you been listening to Donald Trump this past year? Have you listened to the statistics of how many times he has lied? And how many lies they have played over and over again that he has told. I don’t mind who you voted for or who you like, but when you get down and want to be a liar and just shelter a person like that, then something is wrong with America. And something is wrong with our people in America. I realize some (critics) are going way overboard with Donald Trump, but he brings it on himself.
Celebrity vulgarity
Actor Robert De Niro joins the brave ranks of anti-Trump celebrities uttering vulgarities against the president and his family. They are like children shocking adults with dirty words. If they have all that bravado, why didn’t they use these terms in the news 25 years ago when no one got by with it.
