El británico Mo Farah se impuso en el Maratón de Chicago este domingo 7 de octubre con un tiempo de 2 horas 5 minutos y 11 segundos, estableciendo un récord europeo. El campeón mundial y olímpico en 5.000 y 10.000 metros es el primer británico en imponerse en esta disciplina desde Paul Evans en 1996. En las damas, la keniana Brigid Kosgei fue la ganadora con un tiempo de 2h18:35.
