Congratulations to all newly elected officials. May they and all those who hold public office and staff positions take an honest look at what has been ignored and the work that needs to be done in our south suburbs to begin to restore them to their desirable potential in every corner of their towns.

Readers, I would like to say don’t let anything get in your way when it comes to your happiness. Whatever it takes, it doesn’t have to cost anything but self-satisfaction to be able to enjoy life to its fullest. Start your morning off by being grateful to see another day. Just think of how you’re going to plan your day or perhaps your week. Maybe call or go see a sick friend. If you are crafty maybe you can knit a sweater and scarf for a child in the area. But, whatever you do, don’t just sit around in self-pity.

The danger is that the Russians allegedly got away with interfering with our election and President Donald Trump doesn’t seem to have any concern in making sure something like that can happen in the future.
