Aurora’s Paramount Theatre has announced two programming notes to deal with coronavirus concerns, a weekly free online concert and a delay in the deadline for 2020-21 Broadway series preorders.

The theater is debuting Connection: A Social Media Concert Series weekly, starting at 8 p.m. April 4.

Concerts will be available on the venue’s Facebook page at facebook.com/ParamountAurora/, the Paramount’s website, ParamountAurora.com, and its Instagram and YouTube pages. Concerts are about 30 minutes long.

According to a press release, “It’s a multi-week online music theater series with rotating themes meant to encourage emerging and veteran songwriters and playwrights to use this time to create new work and keep Paramount’s patrons entertained in an innovative new way.”

“Saturday’s debut concert features more than a half dozen original songs written, performed and submitted on video by an eclectic collection of student songwriters, plus a few Paramount artists,” according to a press release.

Anyone interested in participating can email Paramount’s New Works Department at newworks@paramountarts.com.

Additionally, the Paramount has extended its deadline for 2020-21 Broadway series preorders to June 7. Go to ParamountAurora.com.
