Mike Braun thinks it is a good idea for states to be able to stop interracial marriages. Maybe they should also limit inner-faith and inner-ethnic background marriages. If people don’t meet his expectations as to what he finds acceptable why should they be able to wed? Instead of blood tests they can require DNA testing to allow marriages in this backwards state. Oh yeah, he says he misunderstood the question. Right …

Sen. Lindsey Graham was seriously harassing Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson about her religious beliefs. “On a scale from 1-10, how faithful would you say you are, in terms of religion?” She answered “As you know, there’s no religious test in the Constitution under Article 6, and it’s very important to set aside one’s personal views about things in the role of a judge.” I think she gave him the correct answer, although one he was not prepared to hear.

On July 1, 2022, permitless carry will become law in Indiana. I believe that will also be the day law enforcement and the safety of our citizens will take a step backwards. Policemen have said the law will make their jobs more dangerous. I understand their concern. First, more weapons on the street increase the chance that a weapon will be used. Second, even though there are laws against certain individuals carrying because of behavioral deviations, if that individual has not exhibited those behaviors, he is allowed to carry. The danger is we don’t know when those troublesome behaviors will manifest themselves. Will it be during a routine traffic stop? Will it be an argument in the grocery store? Will it be at a family gathering? Even more concerning will it be during a flash of anger over a school situation? On July 1 crime reduction in Indiana will take one giant step backwards for mankind!

I hope the Republicans are observing how the Polish have opened their borders and their arms to take in thousands of Ukrainians who are seeking refuge from the vicious attack on their homeland. I have heard no talk about walls, criminals, drugs or ethnicity! The Polish are displaying the real symbolism of our Statue of Liberty. “Give me your tired your poor your huddled masses …” Place a halo on the Polish nation and the Polish community!

Indiana Republican Sen. Mike Braun is “walking back” his statement that interracial marriage should have been “left up to the states.” But the fact that he would say something like that, or even think it, shows us the racist gutter where his mind resides. Braun and Young. What a pair. It’s shame and humiliation every day to the people of Indiana with these two representing us.

Recently during an interview, Senator and objectively terrible person Mike Braun told reporters that the landmark Loving v. Virginia case was decided incorrectly and interracial marriage bans should be left up to the states. This is the man (and I use the term loosely) who represents us in the US Senate, people.

Yup. Republicans, big guns and big trucks. Small brains and small … But the worst thing about them is they think of themselves as patriots while their actions show them to be traitors to our country.
