The following items were taken from Deerfield and Riverwoods police department reports, news releases and records. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Deerfield
DUI
Francisco J. Jimenez, 32, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, illegal transportation of cannabis and speeding Nov. 11. Police stopped him near the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Birchwood Avenue after clocking him driving 64 mph in a 40-mph zone. He failed a field sobriety test and refused breath, alcohol and urine tests. A search revealed cannabis in the vehicle. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Dec. 28 in Waukegan.
Ruben Lopez-Dominguez, 41, of Woodstock, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle Nov. 23. Police arrested Lopez-Dominguez after responding to a traffic crash near the intersection of Lake Cook and Deer Lake roads. During an investigation, he failed a field sobriety test and recorded a blood alcohol level of .131. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Dec. 28 in Waukegan.
Julie K. Ginn, 59, of Deerfield, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident Dec. 1. Police responded to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Wilmot Road and Hazel Avenue. After encountering Ginn, police suspected she may be under the influence of alcohol. She failed a field sobriety test and recorded a blood alcohol level of .216. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Dec. 28 in Waukegan.
BURGLARY
Anthony J. Pelini, 52, of Matteson, was charged with two counts of felony burglary Nov. 25. The victim reported items including car keys were taken from a locked locker in a business in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Road. The victim confronted Pelini inside the victim’s vehicle. Pelini fled and went back into the business. He later left in another vehicle. The victim said $458 in cash was taken from the vehicle. After police called Pelini, Pelini came to the Deerfield police station where he was arrested. He was transported to the Lake County jail. He is schedule to appear in Lake County Court Dec. 21 in Waukegan.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Richard S. Roth, 40, of Lincolnwood, was charged with criminal damage to property Nov. 30. Police were called to investigate a slashed tire in the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of South Waukegan Road. A video surveillance camera showed Roth jabbing a tire on a vehicle with a metal object. He was identified by personnel of the business. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Jan. 17 in Park City.
WARRANT APPREHENSION
Kirk A. Barnes, Jr., 35, was apprehended on warrant issued in Cook County Nov. 27. Police responded to a complaint of a disturbance in the 300 block of South Waukegan Road and encountered Barnes. A check showed an active warrant against him. He was transported to the Cook County jail.
INVALID LICENSE
Vito D. D’Amore, 29, of Highland Park, was charged with driving with a revoked license and speeding Nov 28. Police clocked D’Amore driving 46 mph in a 30-mph zone, stopping him in the 900 block of Ring Court. A check showed his license was revoked. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court Jan. 3 in Park City.
Riverwoods
WARRANT APPREHENSION
Eric T. Williams, 30, of the 400 block of Gillett Avenue in Waukegan, was apprehended for a failure to appear warrant issued by DuPage County. Police encountered him near the intersection of Riverwoods Road and Burr Oak Lane. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in DuPage County Court Jan. 9 in Glendale Heights.
