West Humboldt Park community members took to the streets this week to urge Amazon to open a massive 140,000-square-foot delivery station and hire workers from surrounding neighborhoods.

At the corner of Division Street and Kostner Avenue, the delivery station stands covered in fresh white and blue paint, empty of workers. Amazon initially said the facility would open by the end of 2022. Today, Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly said the facility would open later in 2023.
