Republicans complain incessantly about “big government” and it seems like they really don’t want there to be any government at all. Until something happens like a train derailment. Then they can’t find enough government officials to blame for not preventing it. Then they think government isn’t big enough.
Seeing all of the chaos and nonsense in Florida, I have decided that it’s not a coincidence that the National Clown College is located there. My main concern though is that it seems to have moved operations into the statehouse in Tallahassee. With a winter training camp at Mar-A-Lago.
I hope every single student suffering under student loan debt and every single member of their family knows which party to vote for next time. Millions of students are mired in student debt, and Republicans are cheering. How many billions in farm loan relief have there been? How many tax rebates and special deals have there been for developers and manufacturers? Even members of Congress who received tens of millions under ARPA rules have lined up in opposition to forgiving student debt. All these giveaways total far more than than the total for student debt. And the reason for all this debt in the first place? Republican legislators over the past two or three decades have been drastically cutting funding for higher education and shifting the costs on to students, while at the same they’ve demanded that higher education take on roles that private businesses used to assume in worker training and making graduates “work ready.” What other nation in the civilized, industrial world punishes its students the way we do?

in the last year, numerous pro-Trump fictional Twitter accounts have appeared, praising Trump and attacking his opponents. Couple this with the anti-Ukraine sentiment being spread by Greene and other Republicans and it’s easy to see Putin is once again meddling in America. He’ll use any means necessary to put his puppet Trump back in the White House.
You call them worthless Democrats, I say they want to hold politicians accountable for their actions. If you blocked the laws, or eliminated the laws that could have prevented the train crash in Ohio, you should be held accountable. Just as if you incited, encouraged, or participated in the January 6th insurrection you should be held accountable. Politics have nothing to do with accountability. Grow up, man.
Thank you, Trump — another train derailment; thank you, Trump — another train derailment. When is the next shoe going to drop in Northwest Indiana? He keeps campaigning that is he going to save America, but from what? People, wake up. Hurry up, DOJ, lock him up and save America.
I grew up on drinking OJ when a half gallon was 64 ounces. Then I remember Barack Obama changing the new Obama half gallon to 59 ounces. We lived with that for quite a while. Now the new Biden half gallon is 52 ounces. Think the price went down accordingly? Not a chance. It just another Democrat flim-flam! That’s one 12 ounce can of juice lost on every sale.
My employer made me take inclusion training. If I harass anyone because of their beliefs or appearance, I’ll be fired. If I go into politics, I’ll get elected.
If we don’t want a police force that is training to be like the military, we should have never allowed military grade weapons to be owned by the general public. They are training to defend themselves against the opposition they face.
it’s too bad Trump was wrong about COVID-19 when he told us it was just a few cases, was under control, and was a hoax started by the Democrats.he tried to hush the pandemic up, and his actions inspired a whole campaign of misinformation, crackpot theories, and distrust. The damage goes on today. Ivermectin, Clorox, sunlight, etc. were all miracle cures touted by the far-right Republican conspiracy fringe. Trump did nothing to control the COVID rumors, and in fact encouraged them. Giving Trump any credit regarding COVID-19 is like praising him for the Ohio train wreck.
