Now that Valparaiso University will have a new basketball coach, there will probably again be talk of building a new arena on the old hospital site. After all, they still have about 5,000 art works they can sell. It’s a start.
You just printed my comment about right wing attacks on drag shows, books, and whatever they deem “morally harmful”. I asked “what next” and suggested maybe it will be covering up Michelangelo’s David. Lo and behold, a principal in Tallahassee, Florida, was just fired for allowing pictures of the statue in art class!
Money doled out to blue states went to red states? That doesn’t make sense, which should come as no surprise as it’s a typical thought from Trump-besotted Republicans. They will believe any lie, theory, or outlandish statement put out by Trump, DeSantis, Greene, or any Republican politician, to say nothing of the Fox opinion followers, who take as gospel anything thrown their way by Tucker Carlson. A Republican politician or media personality can make a good living by spreading lies. The more outrageous the lie, the greater the donations from the uninformed.
It is interesting that Ivanka Trump referred to her Father as Donald Trump when asked about his criminal activities. She claims her children and social circle are more important than a political life. Does that mean if Trump is elected President, she and her husband will no longer be his White House advisors?
Some Republicans worship Trump and send him money every time he breaks another law. Other Republicans are smart and don’t send money to a con artist.
Yes, there are two political parties in the USA. On one hand, you have those that have a job and earn an honest living. On the other hand, you have the Democrats mooching any freebies they can get without having to get a real job!
Faced by the prospect of a possible Trump indictment, House Republicans are scurrying around like a bunch of Keystone Cops, trying to prevent it, and even suggesting that if or when it happens, there will probably be “violence in the streets.” This is the party of law and order trying to make sure that law and order does not prevail.
When will criminals learn? In today’s world you can’t get away with anything. Between the Ring cameras, parking lot and business videos, cell phones and computers, there is virtually a record of every single thing that you do. Everywhere that you go, everything that you buy, everything that you look up. Everyone that you talk to. People contemplating a crime are just plain stupid; you might as well think about spending years in prison, because you will have no defense.
Your best president? You mean the one that is potentially under indictment in three states? The one that attempted to overthrow the election by having a Georgia official just find me 11,000 more votes? Or the guy who took 1,300 government (many top secret) documents and refused to return them? The guy who had to pay $2 million back to a wounded veterans association that he defrauded? I could go on but it’s useless to engage people who are unable to face reality.
Republicans want to blame everything on the “woke” Democrats. But if you ask them what does “woke” mean, they will hem and haw and stutter, and try to fit in some scare tactics. If you can’t explain it and people don’t understand it, it may not be the winning message you think it is. The definition of woke is: Being aware of social problems such as racism and inequality. Shouldn’t everyone want to be “woke?”
