City reopens Kroehler parking lot at Metra train station
The Kroehler parking lot at the Naperville Metra Station on Fourth Avenue, closed due to low usage demand, has reopened as the number of train commuters continues to escalate.
It joins the Burlington parking lot as being open to those who purchase monthly passes, a news release said.
Daily fee spaces are also available in the Kroehler lot. According to the city, some of these spaces are available at any time while others are only available after 9 a.m.

Park district to celebrte opening of Naper Commons park
The Naperville Park District will host a grand opening celebration for Naper Commons, its newest park, at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at 2323 Weatherbee Lane.
The event includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments and a chance to play at the new playground. The Naper Commons park serves the new Naper Commons subdivision in northeast Naperville.
In addition to a playground, the park has a basketball court, shelter, amphitheater and open space.
In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 12.

Scavenger hunt to be held July 15 at Riverview Farmstead
The Forest Preserve District of Will County is inviting residents to spend time at the Riverview Farmstead settlement house, limestone house and barn by participating in a scavenger hunt challenge Saturday, July 15.
“Unplug Illinois – Find It at the Farmstead” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Riverview Farmstead Preserve, located on Book Road, south of Hassert Boulevard, in Naperville.
The Riverview Farmstead was owned by the Clow family in the 1800s and includes a limestone house built in the mid-1800s, an early frame residence that had been converted to a barn and a large timber frame barn. A naturalist will be at the event to answer questions.
The scavenger hunt is free, open to all ages and does not require registration. There will be less than one mile of walking outdoors on crushed limestone trails and some uneven surfaces, a news release said.
