A Merrillville woman is facing charges after allegedly pointing a gun at her neighbor.

Dynecia Smith, 26, was charged Nov. 6 with intimidation and pointing a firearm.

She has not been apprehended and is ordered held without bail.

Police were called at 10 p.m. Oct. 28 to the 300 block of W. 59th Avenue.

The victim said he heard banging downstairs. When he knocked on Smith’s door, she was “waving” a pink and silver gun as they argued. When he brought up the gun, she pointed it at him.

“I will shoot you,” she said, according to the affidavit.

The man went back to his apartment and called 911. While police arrived, Smith started banging her head against the wall. They found the gun inside her apartment.
