A 12-year-old girl was fatally shot Sunday evening inside a Calumet Heights home, according to Chicago police.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the girl as Dalilah Batey. She was found shot in a home in the 9200 block of South Harper Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Officers found the girl, who was transported to Comer’s Children Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
