An 18-year-old man is facing first-degree attempt murder charges in the March shooting of a 65-year-old man on the West Side, Chicago police said.

Cordale Carroll of North Lawndale was charged Saturday with one count of attempt first-degree murder and one count of aggravated discharge of a weapon from a vehicle, police said.

Carroll was arrested Friday afternoon by police and the U.S. Marshal Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force in the 1200 block of South Damen Avenue, after he was identified as one of the people who participated in March 25 shooting of a 65-year-old man in the 1300 block of South Kedzie Avenue, police said.

Carroll was arrested and scheduled to appear Saturday at a detention hearing.
