Grant moves up two spots as Lakes and Wauconda enter the rankings, but unbeaten Libertyville continues to lead the way.

Brandon Marano goes 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs during the Mustangs’ NSC win against Stevenson on Tuesday.

3. Grayslake Central 11-2 (3)

Trevor Meathe is still batting over .500, has scored 15 runs and has 11 steals for the Rams, who are unbeaten in the Northern Lake County Conference.

4. Highland Park 10-2-1 (4) 

Luke Giese has a game to remember in the Giants’ win against Zion-Benton on Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk and three RBIs in his first varsity start.

5. Warren 10-3 (5)

Ethan Cole has six hits, including three doubles, and four RBIs in his past 12 at-bats for the Blue Devils.

6. Grant 9-3 (8)

Gavin Worklan is on a similar tear, going 6-for-12 with four doubles, a homer, seven RBIs and six runs in the Bulldogs’ past five games.

7. Lakes 9-4 (NR)

Zack Raffone has 11 hits and seven RBIs and Owen Klosinski has 12 hits and 12 runs during the Eagles’ 5-1 stretch.

8. Lake Zurich 7-6 (9)

Carson Hamblin notches seven hits in 10 at-bats during a stretch that includes the Bears’ win against Marist.

9. Antioch 8-6-1 (10)

Hunter Feldkamp, who is hitting .424, has been an offensive catalyst for the Sequoits as Alex Nielsen returns to the lineup after missing the first month.

10. Wauconda 7-8 (NR)

Jackson Murphy raises his batting average to .415 after getting four hits during the Bulldogs’ NLCC win over Antioch on Monday.

Grant senior shortstop Ryne Dzierzynski goes 6-for-9 with three home runs, two doubles, eight RBIs and eight runs scored in four games and also earns a win by allowing two runs over five innings against Burlington Central on Monday.
