All northbound lanes near 127th Street on I-57 were shut down Tuesday morning after an accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, according to Illinois state police.
ISP said preliminary information indicates a crash happened about 6 a.m. where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and was taken to a local hospital for injuries.
All northbound lanes are closed and traffic was being diverted off at 127th Street while troopers investigate, police said.
