A 73-year-old man was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound to his back Tuesday evening in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 3900 block of West Thomas Street and found an elderly man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
