A 37-year-old biker was left in critical condition after he was struck by a semi-truck that fled the scene in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 6:50 a.m., the man was riding a bicycle headed north in the 6400 block of South Kedzie Avenue. When he attempted to turn left on Kedzie, a semi-truck headed south struck him and kept south on Kedzie, fleeing the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in critical condition.
The Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating the accident.
