A 36-year-old man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident Thursday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 11 p.m., the victim was standing in the 8700 block of South Ashland Avenue when he was struck by a beige-colored vehicle that was traveling east on 87th Street, police said.
The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was later pronounced dead.
The Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating.
