
Jaray Brown, 22, of Robbins and Camren Brown, 23, of Hazel Crest both pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated battery charges in connection with a 2024 Oak Forest stabbing that left multiple people injured, according to court records.
Both defendants pleaded guilty to one count each of aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm. Additional charges of aggravated battery, attempted murder and mob action were dropped, according to court records.
Both were sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by six months parole, according to court records.
The stabbing took place in December 2024 at Jamaica Jerk Choice in Oak Forest. Responding officers found several people with stab wounds, according to police.
The defendants jumped the counter at Jamaica Jerk Choice and attacked the employees, stabbing one victim “about the head and neck” and causing permanent disfigurement, according to charging documents.
