
SENIOR PARTNER CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF TOURNEY WINNERS
Bob Bean, of Naperville, and John Haffner, of Winfield, were the gross division champions and Ray Crowley, of Naperville, and Frank Mores, of Winfield, the net division champions of Naperville Park District’s Senior Partner Championship.
A continuation of the 2026 Brooks Tournament Series, the event was held June 3 at the Springbrook Golf Course. Golfers 55 and older partnered up for an 18-hole best-ball competition, a park district news release said.

Bean and Haffner had a gross score of 68. Crowley and Mores’ net score was 62.
The next tournament event will be the Naperville Junior Amateur Championship July 6 at Naperbrook Golf Course. For more information, go to www.golfnaperville.org.
PARK DISTRICT REOPENING 3 RENOVATED PLAYGROUNDS
Naperville Park District will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies to celebrate three recently renovated playgrounds.
The first event will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Apache Park, 1567 Apache Drive.
Its play area has been expanded and includes equipment designed for 2- to 5-year-olds and 5- to 12-year-olds, a park district news release said. A new inclusive spinner and a basket swing, picnic table and picnic shelter are among the park’s amenities.

A ribbon-cutting is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, for Wil-O-Way Park, 1408 W. Jefferson Ave.
The new playground includes a 20-foot track ride, colossus slide and several types of swings, including an ADA-accessible swing and basket swing, the release said. A ramp compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act has been installed to provide direct access to the play equipment.
A third playground reopening celebration will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Burr Oak, 432 Villa Ave.
Its new playground features a ground level playhouse, a luge slide for two users and a two-sided rock-climbing wall, the release said.
Light refreshments will be served at the events. Ceremonies will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
DUPAGE COUNTY HOLDING SENIOR RESOURCE FAIR
DuPage County is holding a free Senior Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, June 15, at the JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.
Forty area agencies that provide services and programs for seniors, their families and caregivers will be in attenandance to discuss topics related to health care, nutrition and meals, and legal and mental health services, a news release said. Information about community support options, such as respite care, adult day programs and in-home care, will also be available.
