The David Adler Cultural Center`s annual Mardi Gras gala and benefit will be held Saturday night in Lake Bluff.
The non-profit community arts center located in Libertyville offers instruction, performances and exhibitions in the performing and visual arts.
The gala will feature the naming of the king and queen for next year`s gala and three auctions-matchbook, silent and live-where revelers can win goods and services donated by Lake County area merchants and corporations.
Co-sponsored by Rosemary Monahan and Justine Vaughn, the event will also include New Orleans-style festivities, gourmet Cajun food and a variety of entertainment, prizes, dancing and objets d`art.
The benefit will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in the Harrison Conference Center, 136 Greenbay Road, Lake Bluff. Single tickets are $75, and free valet parking is available at the entrance. For more information, call the Cultural Center at 708-367-0707.
