Mary Frances Nichols, 75, a Northbrook resident, died Friday at her home. She retired in 1982 as senior assistant to the vice president in charge of marketing at Encyclopaedia Britannica Educational Corp., where she worked for 26 years. Her husband, Chester, a staff photographer for the Chicago Tribune, died in 1955. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth and Chester; a daughter, Penny Dietrich, and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hanekamp Funeral Home, 385 Waukegan Rd., Northbrook. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Norbert Catholic Church, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook.
