Offers in hand: The Australian government said Wednesday that it has received bids for national airline Qantas Airways Ltd. from British Airways PLC and Singapore Airlines Ltd. Air New Zealand Ltd. and its major shareholder Brierley Investments Ltd. of New Zealand, who earlier indicated they were considering a joint bid for Qantas, have formally advised the government that they won`t be bidding, finance minister Ralph Willis said.
