Innocent plea in cell-phone case
Juan Carlos Serrano, 24, of Union City, Calif., pleaded innocent to misdemeanor charges of battery and assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly beaning Texas right fielder Carl Everett with a cell phone as Everett stood on the field at Oakland Coliseum.
