Maria Teresa Quiej Alvarez , the 21-month-old conjoined twin who suffered a brain infection months after she was separated from her sister, is responding well to antibiotics and is expected to recover. She was hospitalized two weeks ago after doctors discovered a skull infection. The Guatemalan twins were separated in a 23-hour operation Aug. 6.
